Air condition

I have a 2000 Ford 250 super duty diesel 7.3?
My AC has had intermittent problems lately. System will work fine for 30 - 40 minutes driving down the road and then begin to blow warm after stopping at a red light or something. Then going down the road it might start working again or not. It does work every time when I first start the truck but after driving a some it starts doing this. Turning off the AC for a short time (5 minutes or so) sometimes causes the problem to disappear and everything works fine again. Any idea what could be going on. I did notice the other day I turned it to vent because the air had started blowing warm air again and it started blowing cold air on vent, like the air condition was on. My mechanic has checked for low refrigerant and said the system was fine. He also had a check of the computer system done with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Jeff

I found the problem on another site. The clutch air gap was to big and the clutch was not staying in when the engine was at idle. But when I was driving at full speed the A/C worked fine but at a idle it would disenage. So I took the bolt out of the middle of the clutch and pulled the clutch off. Then pulled the little washer out of the cllutch and put it back on. Which let the air gap be closer together. Now the clutch stays in like it should.I think this happens with A/C that are used a lot. You could get a new clutch if you wanted to but this does about the same thing.
Thanks I hope this helps anybody having the same trouble.
