Dear sir, My question is while I am driving my instrument panel starts going crazy. And starts and stops. All gauges ping high and return to normal. Sometimes they will get stuck and I have to disconnect the battery to reset them. Any help please?

The exact same thing is happening to me. I have 298k on F250 with 7.3. I was driving down the road and the gauges starting bouncing around like a ping pong ball. The settled down then laid completely down for a moment or two. Then out of the blue they reengaged. I have now noticed that when the gauges go crazy, the ac and radio cut off too.

Same problem with my 2002 F250 SD 4x4 Diesel, 300K miles.
I'm looking at guys that re-solder the cluster components.
Evidently after some time, the solder joints on the gauge board can crack and need to be re-soldered. From what I've seen it costs between $150 and $200 for the repair.

Hi Phil,

I responded to your other post so let's stick with that one if you need more info.

However, I suspect you are correct with this that the circuit board has cracked.

Thanks for updating this but in the event, it is not this then we need to check the battery voltage and go from there. However, let's use the other post from here.

Thanks
