F250 crank, no start
Electrical problem
1996 Ford F250 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 117000 miles
On occasion, my 1996 F250 will crank but will not start. If I let it sit for about 5-20 seconds with the key in the "run" position, some type of relay "opens" (left side, under the hood) and the truck will start right up. Other times, it starts right away. No rhyme or reason when this will happen. I put in a new fuel pump relay from NAPA but the issue continues. Any thoughts?

Could be the computer controlled of the Fp relay or the ignition switch

Sounds like you are saying the computer controls the activation of the fuel pump relay? Would "gunk" build up over the last 14 years inside the ignition switch also have the same effect? Does the ignition switch also provide input to the FP relay?
