1. How I determine if the oil pump is faulty?

2. If it is faulty, what are the steps to remove and replace the oil pump?

Unscrew the oil sening unit near the filter, and screw in a pressure test gauge, take the readings at Idle you will have on a warm engine, about 10psi, raise engine speed to 2000 RPM, reading should be 40-60 psi, if it's too low, or too high, further work is in order.
