Replace the serpetine belt on a 97 F-150

How do I replace the serpetine belt, where do I losen its tension.

There is a idler pulley near the top, front of the engine. A coil spring supplies the tension for it to hold the belt tight. Put a long wrench on the bolt in the middle of the pulley and pull up and away from the belt. You're not trying to remove the bolt, only pulling the pulley away from the belt.
