high idleing

hi, i own a 1995 ford 1-150 w/ a 5.8l engine w/ 53000 miles on it it runs like a gem but the problem is, that after i start it and let it get to normal operation temp, the idle will not come down can u help me with that?

without knowing more , and if there are no codes i would suspect the idle air control motor on the throttle body , the get gummed up and stick , but im not saying thats it there could be a few other things , i would pull it off and check it and if it is clogged grab one from the store and replace it cleaning it will only work for a while and if there is an internal short cleaning will not help

Check the coolant temp sensor as well. Sometimes it will go bad and see the engine as never warming up, causing the computer to keep the cold idle speed and mixture settings.
