Heater problem

I have a 97 f150 and no matter what it will only blow out cold air. It started by only blowing hot air for a day and now it will only blow cold air. I dont think it is the thermostat because it runs at the normal temperature but my step dad seems to think it is the heater control valve what do you think? if it is how hard will that be to replace

heater control sounds right, they don't shut off water anymore, they open doors to bring in air from different places. a door could be stuck or a problem with the dash controller, get a service manual and check it over
