2004 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 85000 miles

i have a 2004 f150 it drives great in 2 wheel drive but when i was just tring out the 4 wheel drive the other day i noticed in worked fined till i would try to turn, when i would turn the truck would start shaking and cherp the front tired as of it didnt want to turn, as if the diferential was locked? what could be the cause of this? is it suppose to do this?

No, that's not normal, but common. 2 things cause this. 1- and most common, the slip clutches in the front differential are stuck together. Usually from non-use. 2- The front tires are considerably more worn than the rears and it's binding up.
