2001 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 101000 miles
My F150 truck had a bad altenator so we replaced it. Now all the gauges are going crazy. The radio turns off and on, the speedodomitor goes up and down but the engine still runs. Sometimes you can smell a burning odor. Took it to the garage and they said the altenator is putting out 19 amps and should be 14. Replaced with another altenator and same thing. Any ideas of what could be going on to make everything go so crazy?
