1997 Ford F150 Front brake grabbing
Brakes problem
1997 Ford F150 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
I have a 1997 F-150 that I am having trouble with, the front drivers side brake feels like it is grabbing when I take my foot off the pedal.I replaced both front calipers, pads and master cylinder. The rear has ABS but I dont think the front is. I smells like it is getting hot, could the rotor be the problem?

Most common is the caliper hose
should have it checked and replaced

Are you talking about the short rubber hose or the entire line? Thanks

The rubber hose connected to the new caliper that was replaced

Thanks for the info, I replaced the hose and it seemed to fix the problem. It was a simple 20 dollar fix. Thanks again. Do you know what happens to these hoses? Does the inside collapse or do you think gunk builds up in there because there are no visable signs that it has failed. Thanks

Yes they collapse on the inside
and will be no visible signs on the hose from the out side
very happy for you and thank you
