1996 Ford F150 WRONG FLUID

Steering problem
1996 Ford F150 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 112000 miles

I ACCEDENTALLY PUT MOTOR OIL IN MY POWER STEERING PUMP
CAN THIS CAUSE A PROBLEM

They are both petroleum based products, I would drain and refil with PS fluid, no real harm is done yet, PS fluid is a lighter wieght oil so pressures will increase with motor oil!
