1982 Ford F150 flooding problem

Engine Performance problem
1982 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i replaced a single barrel carburetor in my truck. it has the inline six cylinder engine. the carb is a remanufactured carb. i replaced the carb because the carb was flooding the engine. i would run ok for a bit and then it would flood. i put the replacement carb in and it ran well. i drove it for about five miles with no problems. i started it again and it ran for a bit and then it flooded again. i do not know why it is flooding.

Have you changed the fuel filter so you know that no dirt or debri is getting into the needle and seat?
