Ford Explorer Repair Question

Starter.
I have replaced the starter in my explorer 3 times in the last month. Hoping that one of them would work but they keep doing the same thing. When i turn the key to start the engine all the starter does is spin. It does not engage the flywheel and it doesn't grind.

It sounds as if you have a shim in there that you don't need. However, I havn't seen shims in Fords! Check the flywheel, teeth the starter meshes with!
