Heater Blower problem

I Have a 1994 Explorer 4.0L about 92K miles. The heater blower works fine most of the time, However is seems that in the afternoon or night when we take the car out the blower wont come on. The next morning it has always worked. Any ideas? Could it be the relay? I believe it is in the fuse box under the hood. I think there is relays for the heater and A/C side by side. They appear to be plug in type similar to fuses. Do you think this could be my problem? Thanks for any info.

It might be a relay, but I would expect the motor just based on typical outcomes. You can swap the two relays if they are the samw to see what changes happen or don't happen.

Thanks. Someone else told me it might be the blower motor. I Thought it would either work or not work. I didnt realize it could be intermittant.

Oh yeah, they can be. There is a thing called the tap test where you rap on the right side of the dash or blower motor case to get it to work. Temporarily.
