I have a 99 ford explorer XLT. The mileage is about 160,000 and the engine size is a v6. I have a question about the brake lights. I have one out and when I tried to change it there were two screws on the top of the assembly. I took them out and tried to remove the assembly, but the assembly would not move. WHY? I'm I missing more screws or is there an easy way of changing these brakes lights. Please help! I need to get my truck inspected as soon as possible.

Most of the time you unbolt the assembly from the inside. Usually a 7/16ths socket, then pull the assembly out and twist the pigtail. It will come out then change the bulb.3157 I think is your number!
