2003 Ford Explorer water damage

My explorer shorted out when drove thru a flooded street. The battery and starter have been replaced but still will not start. What else can we check and how without taking it straight to a mechanic?

engine just clicks when cranking correct. remove all six spark plugs at once and crank engine over to get the water out of the cylinders. then install new spark plugs and you should be ok.
