When i switch the thermostat knob from cold to hot, under the dash just starts going click, click, click,click, and does not stop untill you turn it back to cold and because of this you get no hot air out of anywhere. Any questions?
Thanks, Justin

Hi Justin;

You are not going to like reading this answer to your heater clicking noise problem. Here we go.....

You are unfortunately having a "Blend Door Actuator" problem. A major headache for many Explorer/Mountaineer owners.
The actuator is not moving the blend door in the direction to receive hot air from your heater core.

Repair is $1000.00+. A very large portion of the high cost is for labor. The whole dash needs to be removed. THIS IS "NO" B.S.!!
Some "idiot" design engineers had plastic used in a portion of the assembly. This piece of "plastic" becomes brittle when subjected to "heat"!!
I am very surprised Ford/Lincoln/Mercury has not had the problem corrected over the past 10+ years.

There is a quick fix for it for those that can do the work themselves and save money.

Sorry for the bad news;
