Occasionally when my explorer is in drive or reverse the engine stalls down and quits. I have noticed a howling sound that goes away with acceleration and once you are moving the engine is fine untill you slow to a stop then you have to stay on the accelerator to idle it up or put it in neutral. This only seems to happen when i have driven for a while and everything is hot. the howling will start even in park if the car is just idleing
