Hello all,
I have a 1997 Ford explorer that is idling rough and my engine light is on When I give it gas the engine light will start to flash,
I have negleacted my truck and i feel bad about it, it was over 25,000 KMS since my last Oil change and that includes the air filter, i know from looking at the air filter that it was bad.
Is almost appears that the truck is running rich if i am in Park and i give it gas to 1800 RMP the rough idle goes away. i was told that there are two sensors that may need to be cleaned but i was also told that if i clean one of them that it may reset the comptuer and i may not get the truck started. Do i attempt to clean these sensors or is there something i am missing on this.
any ideas.
PS i have learned my lesson and i will be giving it a regular oil change.
