I have a 97 explorer. sohc four liter. When I bought it the thing in the intake that controls the air flow at idle speed was already whining which i was told meant it was going bad. A few days ago the whining stopped and the engine began to idle very roughly until it warmed up. It has been doing it ever since, do you think the two could be related?
