Tranny acting stupid
Transmission problem
1996 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 166000 miles
About two months ago the gear connecting the motor with the tranny went out (not the torque converter). I had it replaced and all was well. Then I was driving on the highway and the speedometer started jumping all around. When I let off the gas it would drop to 0 yet I know I was still doing 70. The next day when I started it up the O/D light started flashing, speedometer didnt hardly move, and the tranny shifts very hard. When the speedometer is actually moving and somewhat working, it shifts fine. I'm at a loss, any help is a plus. Thank you
