Transmission problem
1996 Ford Explorer Four Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles
i have a 96 ford explorer and in the transmission all forward drive is lost and all i hear is a very sharp grinding i think it is the gear box and it will only go in reverse i want to know if there is a certain part i can order and fix it myself and also a guide to doing it or if it is just faster safer and more cost effective to have awhole new transmission replaced in it by a professional
