1995 Ford Explorer horribly rough ride

1995 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 280000 miles
I have a 1995 ford explorer sport it has 280000 miles but it still runs like a champ but the only thing i dont like about it is the ride it honestly rides like a tank feeling every little bumb and feeling like i am going to fly of the road if i hit a pot hole it has brand new shocks but did not do much at all what else can i do tho fix the increadibly bad ride?

Have you replaced coil / leaf springs?
