1994 Ford Explorer Engine Light

Hello, My engine light comes on when i start up hill when you accelerate slighty then goes off once i top the hill. Also when you turn on air cond. its worse,stays on longer. There is a slight draw on the engine when the light goes on, you can hardly tell.
