1992 Ford Explorer power windows

The windows in my 1992 ford explorer don't go up or down without help...the motors work and no fuses are blown. I don't know what the problem is..if you hold the button down then you can push the window down or pull it up. Also it is on track.

If the windows bind in the tracks, this can be a part of the problem. Also, even though the motors do work, they can be getting weak from age and usage. As they age, the internal parts get worn. The brushes and bushings begin to get worn, and the motors just don't have the power they had when new.
