what could cause my car not to shift out of park ? its a column shift and will not budge the car starts fine has ran well and the transmission fluid is good

I have two questions. First, are the brake lights working? Second, are the interior lights working when you open the door?
Don't laugh but the park lock solenoid gets power from both circuits. If one has a bad fuse or the brake light switch is bad, you won't get it out of park.
