2003 Ford Escape My Temp Gadge

I started my truck yesturday to find out that every time I press the gas peddle the temp gadge goes to hot so my boyfriend checked the coolant and it was fine the engine didnt seem hot why does it keep going up is somthing wrong with it or is it a sensor can you please explain this

Sounds like like you've got a bad thermostat. Escapes seem to be prone to this. And it has probably never been replaced. A bad stat will the temp gauge to become erratic. Good thing is that it's a keep part and a quick job!
