Engine Performance problem
2002 Ford Escape 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I get a miss reported on #5 or 6 in snowy weather. The next day it runs fine. I have the 3.0 engine. I have seen other issues about the Idle air control or the Coil on Plug. I am looking for any other ideas or specific solutions.

Misfire on a specific cylinder you should check the that cylinder sparkplug, compression and injector

Engine misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel
