My question is that before replacing the key cylinder because it being very sloppy and would start the van but not shut it off. Now after replacing the key cylinder that also came with a key the van will not start or shut off. Is there a code or something I need to match woth the new part and the van? If there is anyone that knows whats up please help and thanks in advance! Hope I can help in the future.

If it was starting with the key but no shutting off
How were you shutting it off?
On 95 no key codes that I can think of for the ford van

Does it crank but no start after the replacement of the cylinder
Or nothing

You may have a broken link
When turning the key you are pushing and pulling a rod that link the key to the ignition switch
You can pull down the steering column and remove the ignition switch and activate the starter manually by the switch w/o the key.
Or rotate the key while watching the link movement
