I just bought the ford van. Changed plugs wires, filters etc.. Engine cranks up right away. idles great, in park the engine excelerates well no miss firing. when in gear and you give it gas it takes its time to get moving. As if the engine lacks power not responsive to fast accelaration. No check engine light on. Could it have somthing to do with timing belt or chain off position or clogged catalitic converters or weak compression?? Thought I'd ask before I toke it in to the shop for their take on what it could be.

Hi elvis henao,

You have listed out all the possible faults. An ignition timng check would tell you if it is timing belt related.

Overfilling of engine oi and trans fluid can contribute to power loss. Hope the plug cables are installed correctly.
