Van runs fine when started. After it warms up, it starts running crappy (sputtering, vibrating, poor acceleration unless it's floored).
Can U help me please?
Thanks,
Jim
P.S. I don't have a code reader or any diagnostic equipment !

Do this and count the flashes...Count the flashes, a 22 will flash as 2 flashes then a short pause, then 2 flashes, if more than one code is stored, the pause will be longer. The codes will display three times and end with 11 or 111. Write them down and post here. First do this with the ke on engine off, then again with it running.

Thanks Merlin,
Unfortunately I'm not a mechanic, and don't have any diagnostic tools. I also have absolutely no idea what your response is all about.
Would you happen to know of a forum for driveway guessing game mechanics like myself? I really am a pretty big rookie at all this stuff. It was much easier when I was a kid and we had no computers!

Thanks,
Jim

P.S. I disconnected the battery 4 a while, and when I hooked it back up the problem was gone ! Who knew? I guess the computer needed to be reset (Well, thats what a guy at the local ginmill told me ).

F the problem reoccurs, you can buy a simple code reader for early OBD Fords, will come with instruction book and code meanings.20-40 dollars, not bad if you are keeping the van.
