I own a 2001 Ford Crown victoria police interceptor model which I have hacked out as a taxicab. I recently noticed a whirring sound while driving with pitch changes occurring each time it goes through a gear shift. I also tested it by stopping, putting it in park and neutral and revving the engine. the noise occurred again during this stand-still test. what is wrong.
