You didn't answer my previous question about my 1998 Ford co

I ask a question which you bypassed about my 1998 ford contour not starting. I know i'm missing something a shut off valve or something it cranks doesn't turn over if I push the petal to the floor then it sounds like it wants to but doesn't, I hear my fuel pump go on and pressurize but i'm stumped and really need help I can't afford to take it to the shop or have it towed, give me some ideas please any help is better then none

Too many questions and not enough moderators. I am a Honda man but I will give you my best shot as fuel injected engines are pretty much alike. So. The pump works but you could have a plugged fuel filter and you really haven't said whether the cylinders are getting gas. Two biggies in auto engines. Got to have spark (at the right time) and got to have fuel being fed in to the cylinders to be ignited by the spark. Check to see if the fuel is making it in to the engine.
