Hello I have a 1996 Ford Contour, and it has 87,000 miles on it. The problem that I am having is that each time I put on my left signal to turn and I step on my brakes the signal will stop blinking but when I get off the brakes it will start blinking again. Could that be an electrial problem.

Have someone step on the brakes while you check the brake light. I bett youll find a burned out bulb.

I have tried that and I also changed the bulbs but it is doing the same thing.

Before you changed the bulbs were any out? If not unser the dash changed the Flasher for the blinkers, not the one for the 4 ways!
