Engine Cooling problem
1998 Ford Contour 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i have to put on a after market water temp gauge. A friend of mine kid broke the water pump belt and ran it hot till motor stoped. I was surprised but I got it running. But temp gauge is stuck over pass hot. Can you tell me where the temp sender is so I know where to look not much room and im a big guy

The engine coolant temperature sensor is located upper rear of engine. See item no.21 below
