I have a 87 Ford Bronco Auto Transmission 5.0L EFI fuel injected over 200K miles. Turning the key cranks the engine but won't start the motor (sometimes)... meaning once in a blue moon it might start. Spraying Starter fluid into the intake starts the bronco and the bronco runs great and drives all over perfectly without hesitation. After you turn the bronco off.. It won't start... It cranks and cranks and even taking the key out and reinserting it won't start.
Both fuel pumps seemed to be operating and I have replaced the fuel filter and pressure regulator. Fuel seems to be at the injectors, not sure if there is a pulse. recently I have had a new timing chain and gear installed and timing was checked okay.

sounds like its not getting fuel or not a rich enough mixture since you need starting fluid to get it going. preform a pressure test and let me know the results. also check the MAF.
