I had a severe oil leak I replaced the oil pan gasket what a job! Now My oil gauge is not registering and when engine is running with no knocks but it appears there is a leak around the sending unit Is this possibe or can oil be blown up there whan engine is running

The sending switch is a very common place for oil to leak. It is screwed into the oil passage right off pump. Pull wire briefly touch to ground light should be on. Replace sender
