I recently purchased a full size bronco with a 302. It has no power after it is warmed up. It will hardly get to 55 mph. I can shift to neutral, and the engine will increase rpms, but it will not transfer the power while in drive. I contacted a tranny shop and they said I need a new tranny. Any help before I bite the bullet? Please

Check to be sure your catalytic converter is not plugged.

Checked both cats, no restriction on exhaust, eliminated that first thing.
