I have 97 ford aspire with 177,834 miles. The other day I came to a sop sign and stoped. I put it in first gear it did not hesitate or do anything. It did not move at all. I tryed every gear and it still not move. I turnd the car off and let it set for 5 minutes and tryed it again and it still did not move.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Ford Aspire. There could be several possible causes for the problem you described. Here are a few things you could consider:

Clutch-related issue: The first thing to check would be the clutch system. If the clutch is not engaging properly, the car will not be able to transfer power from the engine to the transmission. It could be a problem with the clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, or the clutch itself. Have a mechanic inspect the clutch system to determine if any components need to be repaired or replaced.

Transmission issue: It's also possible that there is a problem with the transmission itself. Issues like a faulty transmission fluid pump, damaged gears, or a worn-out clutch plate could prevent the car from moving. A qualified mechanic can diagnose and address any transmission problems.

Driveshaft or CV joint issue: Another possibility is that there could be an issue with the driveshaft or CV joints. A broken or damaged driveshaft or CV joint can result in a loss of power to the wheels. This is more likely if you hear any strange noises when trying to move the vehicle.

Differential or axle issue: Problems with the differential or axles can also cause the car not to move. If the differential has failed or if the axles are damaged, power may not be transferred to the wheels.

Given the symptoms you described, it's best to have a qualified mechanic inspect your Ford Aspire to diagnose the specific cause of the problem. They will be able to perform a thorough inspection and run any necessary tests to determine the underlying issue and provide the appropriate repairs.
