1995 Ford Aerostar Estimated Cost for Tranny Rebuild

Transmission problem
1995 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 336000 miles

My Aerostar FINALLY killed its First Transmission, and due to the fact the engine (also Original) still purrs like a kitten, About how much am i Looking to have a A4LD Transmission (manual Overdrive) and a new driveshaft put in??

Prices are not always comparable in various locations let alone in one area.

Different mark ups, part quality, labor rate play into this.

I suggest talking to local shops on this.
I do like Jasper engine and transmissions, albiet a litle pricier. You can find an installer and a quote here:

For the driveshaft, I would suggest Fleetpride:

I was expect the driveshaft is about $4-600, the labor about 4-6 hours times the labor rate....$100/hr would be $4-600. and the tranny around $12-1400.
