1994 Ford Aerostar Headlights WON"T stay on! HELP!!!!

My headlights will only stay on while you are holding the dimmer switch to the high setting! This makes for very dangerous driving! We have already tried to replace dimmer switch mechanism, but that didn't fix it. Please help and thanks for your advice.

Have you replaced the headlight switch?
