Electric idle control
Engine Performance problem
1994 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 250,00 miles
When I come to a stoplight my van starts acting like it has a 3/4 racing cam in her. She starts chugging, but if I give her a little gas it will stop. I was told it was the electric idle control, so I changed it. But that did not stop the problem. Is there something else I need to do. I realize she has a lot of miles on her, but she still runs like a top except for this issue. Can you advise as to what else I can check. Thank you.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Have you checked for vacuum leaks?
