2007 Ford 500 Surging
Engine Mechanical problem
2007 Ford 500 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 72000 miles
When the car is placed in reverse or drive, immediately upon starting, there is a slight delay and then the engine surges (as though someone has stomped on the gas and immediately released it). Sometimes it is so hard it will turn the wheel from my hand. This is the only time it does it and no other engine issues. It's definitely not a transmission issue and I live in Texas, so not a "cold engine" issue. My car is kept in the garage, unless I'm at work.
Any ideas.
