2000 Fiat Bravo engine looses power

2000 Fiat Bravo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual
just had the car 3 weeks and I have never had a fiat before, but it started to just loose power randomly like its dying no revs, sounds like it wants to cut out, when pulled over with hazards on for a minute or so it picks up again so off again but its getting more frequent and its a brava there wasnt a brava on the list of makes, can anyone help with advice please
