ENGINE LOST SPARK FROM COIL TO DISTRIBUTOR. HAVE 12V AT PRIMARY COIL TERMINALS, NO SPARK, CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START.

1995 Ford F-150 • 118,000 miles

Engine was running perfectly, stalled while driving, won't restart. No spark from distributor to plugs. Checked cap, rotor, and wires - OK. 12V present at coil primary terminals, but no output to distributor. Removed and checked coil with VOM. Found 8K ohms resistance from both primary terminals to secondary terminal. 0 ohms (full continuity) across primary terminals. Detected slight burning smell in interior under drivers side of dash. Checked area, found nothing.
