1991 Eagle Talon My car won't go pass 6000 rpm!!!

1991 Eagle Talon 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
I have an Eagle Talon 91 tsi ... I recently rebuilded the transmission and since that... Everytime I go pass 5.5 or 6000 Rpm ... The Motor Jumps /Kick... It's like I'm turning the key on and off... I really don't know what's causing the car to jump like that...I've asked the guy who rebuilded my transmission and he sayd that it was the computer or the motor... he really could not give an answer! so I was wondering if you could ....Thanks!!! soniermelanie@hotmail.com
