Hi, This truck is a diesel 2500 ram.
When you put the brakes on hard the truck comes to a stop. When you put them on slowly just before you come to a stop (5mph or less) the pedal goes to the floor with a noise in the front (kind of like an ABS but not) and no brakes, you coast to a stop (thru stop signs/lights!). No ABS lights are on, nor do they come on when these events happen.

Hi vgs,

Thank you for the donation.

Symptoms indicates a failing master cylinder. When this occurs, slow application of the brake pedal would allow pressure to escape internally and tyhe pedal would sink.

Abrupt application of the pedal would allow pressure to be retained.

With vehicle stopped, apply pressure on the brake pedal and hold, if the pedal starts to sink slowly, it confirms the master cylinder is faulty.

Note : check the brake fluid level, if it is low, check for leaks.
