1990 Dodge Truck transmission problems

The speedometer jumps around and it downshifts when it does that. Won't shift at all sometimes. Then it will work fine sometimes.

See my post on 2000 Dakota transmission, sounds like a similar problem to the one I had. TPS sensor on the throttle body could be bad.

Just a guess though, I'm no mechanic. So if I'm off base, someone please correct me.

Sounds like your vehical speed sensor is bad, try replacing it and get back to us. Thanks for visiting 2carpros. Com
