Check the linkage from the motor to the wiper arms, there is a clip that holds them on the linkage, check to make sure it did not come off and check the rest of the linkage.

Four cylinder two wheel drive automatic 185,000 miles

A few days ago, we had a pretty bad ice storm. When I went out to dig out my car the next morning, I started it first with the defrost, then chipped off all the ice. When I was done I got in and started my wipers. I guess there was still some ice on the windshield near them that I had not noticed.

Now the one on the passenger side works fine, but the one on the driver's side only goes up about one inch and stops. I went to PepBoys but I had a feeling the man looking at it had no idea what he was doing.

Is it the motor that needs replaced? How much might that cost? Please Help! I do not want to get ripped off somewhere!

Locate circled. Pop the wiper arm nut cover and tighten the nut after adjusting where the wiper arm is supposed to go. Done.

Could you help me? What do I do about gauges and wipers not working? All my gauges and my wipers stopped working, and the digital odometer is out as well. Everything else is working fine, i.E. Radio, heater, etc.
