Heater problem
2004 Dodge Stratus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my heater at one point would only work on high, I was lazy and didnt replace the blower motor resistor. Now the heater will not work at all and I was wondering if I possibly did more harm to the unit?

thank you

No, you shouldn't have harmed anything else. It sounds like the blower motor went out here is the location for the blower motor and resistor so you can replace them to get the system working again this guide can help as well.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

So I know the car is getting heat still I am 90% sure it's not the thermostat. I think it's the blower motor that's not working and it's 20 degrees on average right now, anyone know how difficult a job this is to do myself?

Does the blower motor run at all 4 speeds? If yes, blower motor works properly.

If your heat is only lukewarm, check your coolant level. Should be almost to the "FULL" line. If it is, check the strength of your antifreeze with a unit similar to this

.
Depending on where you live, your coolant should be more than 20 degrees lower than the coldest night.

Next is to replace the thermostat.

Then replace your blower motor, AFTER you check your junction block (left side of dash) fuse #1 30A and #11 10A for 4-door, or fuse #6 30A, #20 7.5A and blower relay for 2-door.

Check the fan relay and blower motor resister. Also, check to make sure there is power to the new motor. Check to make sure there is a good ground to the motor.
